AfterStep
One of my favourite GUIs. Originally based on the look and feel of the NeXTStep™ interface, AfterStep provides end users with a consistent, clean, and elegant desktop environment. The goal of AfterStep development is to provide for flexibility of desktop configuration, improving aestetics, and efficient use of system resources. This project is no longer maintained.
FVWM-Crystal
One of my favourite GUIs. FVWM-Crystal is an easy to use, very light-weight, eye-candy, powerful desktop environment. It's window manager is originally based on FVWM, although it's evolved since then.
XFCE
Excellent GUI. Primary on my Xubuntu System. XFCE is fast and lightweight, while still being visually appealing and easy to use.
LXDE
"Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment", is a good looking, extremely fast performing and energy saving Linux desktop environment maintained by an international community of developers. It comes with a beautiful interface, multi-language support, standard keyboard shortcuts and additional features like tabbed file browsing. LXDE uses less CPU and less RAM. It is especially designed for computers with low hardware specifications like netbooks, mobile internet devices (MIDs) or older computers.
OpenBox
Highly configurable, next generation window manager with extensive standards support. Although just a window manager compatible with most GUIs, OpenBox can be run in its own session, making for a very light-weight interface.
